Or do you think Love is a different thing to passion and desire???

I think there is no Love without passion and desire, when the fire is put out then the Love is lost.

I think passion and desire are part of love, over these lessen over the years. However they do not disappear, they simply go through metamorphoses.
These are to be expected. And to be honoured. For what furnace Could anyone keep at its' highest level of heat, constantly?

I have very little passion or desire for my partner these days. There was some, but it was a starting block. But I can get angry if someone suggests that I don't love my partner despite the lack of the obvious signs.

I'm 39, we've been together for nearly 10 years and we don't have kids. There is no reason why there shouldn't be passion there, and I miss it sometimes, but basically we're not built like that.

You don't have to expect or demand anything from someone you love. Just being in the same room as them, being there for each other fills my soul with a satisfaction than basic lust can merely scratch the surface of.

Having said that, I'm gagging for some action. Honey...

I think that Passion and Desire is ONLY a part of Love .. and that TRUE Love is more of a "Whole Person" Concept -- the Wonderful Personality, the Kindness/Gentleness .. the Caring Nature .. the BEAUTY of the Spirit within .. the RESPECT that one has for the Significant Other in their Life ...

ALL that is part of LOVE ... Passion .. Desire.

Oh yes, the passion and desire I have for my hubby still burns hotly inside me after 27 years, if I didn't feel like this about him and him the same about me what would be the point to our love for each other.

It depends on if you are 'in love' with that person!! I have loved a few of my ex's but had lost the passion and desire for them but still loved them. Just wasn't in love with them... I don't know if that makes sense.
