I have a project that asks for systemic reason why CEO have high amount compensation packages. Its hard to write since I dont know what systemic means. Thanks

Systemic reasons are reasons that are almost built in to the system, part of the system, are condoned by the system. They are things that everyone sort of accepts as just the way it is. For example, there could be systemic fraud taking place in government departments by employees filing travel claims with a "little extra" on each one, but everyone turns a blind eye to it. I hope this is of some help.

Systemic means built into or part of the system (a systemic body infection is attacking the whole body or a major system)
Among the reasons for CEO's having high compensation are the lack of procedures for the Board reviewing the CEO's pay for reasonableness. There are others. Examples of non-systemic would be the CEO agreeing to kick back part of his compensation to board members who voted for him, a board consisting of employees he can fire, and the CEO manipulating the stock price to look better, all of which exist but are not part of the normal corporate system.

Systemic reasons are reasons that deal with a system.

Does the system have reasons that cause the high compensation of CEOs?
I think that is what the question is.

i think it something to with variety and sampling.... not sure
