I made a deal with my husband that if it were to be a girl i would name her and if it were to be a boy he would name him.
He wanted to name him Ozzy Lee (Last Name Here)
I was for it....I kind of liked the name, different and all and we both love Ozzy Osbourne.
But when my son was born and they came in and asked me what do you want to name him i looked down at him (Just me and him in the room) and i could not name him Ozzy..
I went with a name that i thought about alot which was Julian Hunter lee (Last name here)
I am glad i chose Julian instead of the other name cause the name fits my son.

This seems to happen quite a bit. There now seems to be a trend where parents are waiting till' after the baby arrives to choose a name that "fits". Makes sense, doesn't it?

No - I had some ideas before they were born, but nothing fixed. Both times the ex insisted on changing what I chose completely.

it happened with my daughter, because for some reason I'm much better with boys names. I changed my mind with my daughters name, probably 3 times before settling on Korinna.
The boys were a breeze to name though!

We agonized over the names for our kids, but once we chose them, we stuck to them. I remember a friend asking what we planned to name our daughter (my sister was standing close by), and I said, "Kimberly Joy." My sister gasped and said, "That's beautiful!" I was afraid she was going to say something to make me doubt my choice, but we agreed on this one.

I didn't but my mom did that to me. She had picked out the name Melanie but, after I was born she knew I was no Melanie. So for a week I was a nameless baby til she came up w/ my name.

When I was born, my mom was all set to name me Abra Amanda (Abra is the feminine of Abraham, apparently) When she saw me, she said, "I realized your name was Chelsea" lol, so she named me Chelsea Rebecca.
