Yes, and please be aware that ATM cards are just like money in the bank. And if you have overdraft protection, tied into your checking account via, your savings account. That they could not only wipe out your checking account, but your savings account as well. Do not combine the two. And keep track of your cards at all times. I do not use ATM Debit cards for any reason. And I very rarely use my credit cards, and keep all receipts to check against my statement. Then you would know right away if there is any suspicious activity.

yes, I saw on tv the other day that when hackers get in your computer they can see every website you key into, your passwords. where my husband works, (big corporation) they had some computers in to get worked on and the place got broken into and they stole the computers, so the company had to send letters to everyone telling them about it, took 6 months for them to do that though, on those computers were names, social security #', 401K's so the company paid to monitor our credit for a year.... we get an email every month from them telling us if any activity was done... so far been okay... but I think it is just a matter of time!
I saw the thing on tv about TJM and now the credit companies are giving fines to stores of $25,000.00 a day if they do upgrade to a better security system when we use our credit cards. Still... I doubt it will stop

Yes and it can happen in ways you could never imagine. I had a hairstylist steal my credit card and used it while I went to Europe to show her boyfriend a good time (she threw him a party), bought herself a nice piece of expensive jewelry and a new wardrobe! Kinda stupid too, because I knew the last place I used that card while I was in Europe and wasn't even in the country when those charges were made AND could prove it.

Yes - and have had my card number stolen/hacked from TJ Maxx files. Luckily caught it early as I check my accounts DAILY and the bank took care of the investigation and then sent me a new card in overnight mail. I no longer use my card at TJM or any of its sister companies.

Yes! Our tills used to print out the whole card number on receipts. Thankfully we have a new system which only prints the last 4 numbers.

Yes, but I don't use my credit card very much so I would spot a fraudulent use right away.
