I could just 'dislike' someone for no reason, but I won't go as far as hating them for no apparent reason

There is always a reason. A sign of maturity is getting at **why** you dislike someone. I'm not calling you "immature" - I'm saying this is part of knowing yourself, knowing why you feel this way. Most likely it's because something in the way he looks or acts reminds you of someone you've grown to dislike.
Once you figure this out you can make an effort to actually get to know the guy, maybe he's not who you think.

YOU may very well have known him or "her" from another era. If you are spiritual, you will find that some folk that we like "tremendously" or have great "disdain" for, are from situations in other "lifetimes" with that person. This may be "why" you feel that way about this person.
Don't ignore the fact that YOU may not have liked that person back then. The person may have been an "enemy," or been either "afraid of you." They may have been desirous of being "your friend." You must look at this from different angles. You may not be disappointed. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

I've been known to look at someone and he just looked so mean and nasty that you could tell he would be the biggest jerk. Then I got to know him and he was probably the nicest person you would ever meet.
Start up a conversation with the guy....He might turn out to be your best friend.

My mom wanted me to meet her new boyfriend. He walked in a said "Hello" as nice as can be a shook my hand. But I had a weird feeling about him and didn't like him. Every other man she had me meet... I was okay with. This guy... from the moment I met him... there was something I didn't like. Two years later she is telling me "You were right" and she is suffering through an abusive relationship (her choice)

Sadly yeah...
There are just some people I can look at, and know I won't like them....!
I don't know why or how I do it, but it happens, it's unintentional.
