No one can reduce this global warming. It's a natural occurrence. It happened in the days of the dinosaurs and it's going to happen again. So that's a huge hell no to more taxes.

How will raising taxes reduce global warming? Are we going to give that money directly to private industries so they can invest in better scrubbing technology? Will we give it to our national labs so they can develop better processing, scrubbing, and sequestration technology? Or will all that money just go to beauracrats and administrators who will dole out pennies on the dollar to the aforementioned causes, doing nothing to change anything but securing their own paycheck? I AM NOT willing to pay more taxes until our government quits throwing away the taxes I already pay hand over fist. They've got plenty of money, they just need to spend it more wisely. Maybe we could set up a VOLUNTARY fund on our taxes, asking people to donate a buck or two to a DEDICATED global warming fund. That I would be willing to do. But a tax hike without any guarantee that my money will actually help solve the problem? Screw that.

Being of the poor/working class, I really dont pay much in taxes- no state or federal, and reduced property taxes here in my state but no I wouldnt be willing to agree to forcing others to pay more so some power hungry ideologues can push their politically driven agenda upon the masses, hinder our economy and in the end make virtually NO difference.
Reduce taxes so the economy can take off again...

America is ready to pay more taxes. What are you smoking?
I already pay way too much in taxes. I figured out today that I am paying about 44% of my income to federal, state, and local taxes. This does not include sales taxes that I pay.

JMO but I think that the majority who say they would pay more are currently paying a minimal amount or are receiving an earned income credit. Why not ask if those who are receiving such credit would forfeit it to help fight global warming?
As for me,I paid 120K plus last year in income tax alone,I think that is enough.

No. I don't see how giving the government more money would stop global warming. If they attempt to take more taxes to "fix" global warming, then it will just further my suspicion that the issue is nothing more than a way to extort money and power from the people...

No. Not before we:
a. cut existing spending levels,
b. and, figure out what the heck we will be spending the money on before we spend it.
Is this the new Al Gork method for attacking "global warming" - spend more money? Wow, coming from a liberal that is shocking. /sarcasm

No, but then again, I'm not willing to pay for Bush's oil war but what choice will I have once we get a fiscally responsible president that acknowledges that you can't spend more money than we have unless taxes go up.

GET REAL
My parents heat their house with coal.
The increase in coal price was 3x higher this year than the price it might cost to fight the global warming for it!!!
