Its amazing the excuses the fans and media will make to defend "white hero" Roger Clemens. The analyst and media scapegoat is to immediately attack the credibility of the personal trainer, the league and the Mitchell report. Nobody was held at gunpoint and forced to take these drugs. These statements were made to federal investigators and I am not sure how much more evidence you would need. The trainer worked with Roger for about 10 years and Rogers performance only improved with age, just admit it people don't want the black guy to break the Bambino's records, but when it comes to Roger they just say he was a victim of the Era, hypocrites! Its all about Race, roger is a prick too.

There should be an * on his record also, but without the witch hunt that Barry was submitted to.

Barry Bonds, I believe, will fall in the Hall of Fame, because before the allegations of steroids appeared plus the timeline, he clearly was on the road for the hall of fame, with all the stolen bases, so on and so forth.

Now, with Roger Clemens, it might be different. By race? Doubt it. By team?? Maybe, who doesn't hate the Yankees anyway?

He won't be treated the same way as Barry Bonds, but he'll probably have a harder time in reaching the Hall of Fame now.

specific, I made this comparable factor to my 24 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous son. I flat ask him why he wasn't down on Clemens the way he replaced into Bonds. He hates Bonds, has for alongside time, even earlier Balco. He cherished The Rocket however, so while the Mitchell checklist got here out I ask him approximately his thoughts on Clemens...his reaction "they have not got any data on Clemens". I argued they have not got to any extent further data on Bonds the two. If Peteit replaced into utilising with a similar coach that Roger replaced into utilising then what makes every physique think of he did no longer use additionally. so a ways as i'm worried all the consumers would desire to be banned from baseball, the HOF and thier archives/stats would desire to get a brilliant fats *** would be SKEWED by utilising PEDs ***.

I hope that he gets treated the same way. If Barry Bonds gets scrutiny for steroids then Roger Clemens should be scrutinized for his accomplishments.

Unfortunately, if he is not treated the way Bonds is treated, people will turn this into a race issue. Then the whole thing would get really stupid. So yeah it is only fair for him to get treated like Bonds.

I doubt that clemens will be treated like bonds for the simple fact while bonds has been scrutinized over th issue, clemens has been allowed to pitch well into his 40's doing very well and competing for cy-youngs. clemens has been able to get absurd 1 year contracts at his discretion while bonds simply has been waited out by the Giants until he broke the record so they could get rid of him.

the big Question now is will Clemens try to come out and play now or retire.

I think so. It's sad that these players did steroids, but seriously, they would've been great without the drugs. You look on the list and see Chuck Knoblach's name, and yeah, he was a good player, but he is no Clemens or Bonds. Steroids only make great players greater! They are still good! I can't take steroids and make it in the MLB... it's not like magic spinach that popeye takes...
I'm so frustrated!

of course not. is mark mcgwire treated the same way as barry bonds? roger clemens will retire and go down as the greatest pitcher of his era and barry bonds will remain a villain. we all know it is true. as unfair as it is. we are not children here; we all know why.

I haven't read the report yet. I have only watched Mitchell's statements on TV, but anyone mentioned in the report, should be banned for life from ever playing baseball again, forfeit the balance of their contracts, every stat should be marked with an asterisk, and no one should be admitted into the HOF.

bullshit, this was a race issue, it has always been about race, when aaron broke the record back in the day,it was the same people that hate bonds that sent him hate mail and said he didn t deserve it because it was easy to hit homeruns in his stadium and today they call Aaron a hero....then this happens and everyone is on bonds yet nobody puts an asterisk on mcgwire's ball and then they look at you and tell you it is not about race...now no one can hide, they are gonna have to put an asterisk on all the records out there and i am gonna be right there enjoying the show
