I have witnessed beggers from Eastern Block countries holding very small children in freezing temperatures in London streets. Where are the social services to stop this. Ps. I have seen the same beggers spending their money in nearby boutiques, so I dont think all of them are destitute and poor.

I believe for some its a thriving business venture and they pay rent to borrow the babies from other immigrants. They float around Southall, Oxford St, Edgeware Road

I too can't work out why nothing is being done. Mind you, I was once on the tube when one of those beggars came on, looked closely and discovered that she was actually carrying a doll and not a child at all. I think that Social Services should have a crackdown. I don't believe that if anyone has a young child, there is an excuse to go begging.

I was under the impression that begging was illegal in this country, if so then why aren't the police dealing with it either...
"While begging is not illegal in Scotland, it became a recordable offence in England on 1 December 2003 as part of measures to tackle anti-social behaviour."

Mine might say spare funds for alcahole and medicines because of the fact then human beings could be attentive to you're being common and are not mendacity and supply your funds :) (I dont do drugs or drink ime 13)

Those beggars are extremely adept thieves as well, they go into restaurants, one distracts, and the other steals the bag/purses etc, particularly rife in upper street N1, my wife's mum and friend had theirs stolen on two separate occasions, they are quick, and use the child as a blind (cover), so be careful when eating out.
PS: Do not leave your bag on an empty seat, no matter how close to you it is.

I must admit to being really cynical and not very sympathetic to these 'beggars'. Don't see them where I live thankfully!
