No. They are human just like anyone else. If they want to join, they should. They are no different from you or me. If anyone is that insecure, or paranoid, to try to keep them out of anything, they are the ones who need help.

*LOL* According to your profile, you just started posting December 11. Are you actually trying to get suspended?

I'm going to pretend that you aren't just stirring for the sake of stirring, and answer.

Should we stop homosexuals for voting? Only those who do not meet the legal requirements of age, citizenship, and record should be prevented from voting, and that, by the way, regardless of choice of sex partners. Give us a break. You know there is no foundation for any such argument for removal of a basic civil right.

Should we stop homosexuals from being in the military? If they don't act on the impulses, you'll never know if you are successful in that endeavor. Further, there is historic evidence that men who form bonds fight harder to defend the one with whom they have bonded. I read years ago that some ancient armies actually encouraged "special friendships" because the soldiers had a really personal stake in the outcome of the battle. Additionally, given the fact that women serve, if the issue is simply that you think sex distracts from the work place, then perhaps all men should quit the military. Such a whole-sale exit isn't going to happen, so go on with your silly self. Finally, where you put what while you are on holiday has little to do with whether or not you can read a computer screen, aim a rifle, or drive a truck. If you do your job while you are doing your job, then you have a job.

I'm surprised by some of the comments listed on this forum. People are people and we should all be seen as equal, not separating from individuals religion, ethnicity, or even sexual orientation. I don't understand why there is so much discrimination in our country these days.

If they want to be in the military so bad, let them, they can fight for their country just like the rest of the military. Put them on the front lines where they can show their patriotism the best.

The bible says that homosexuality is a sin, so that's between them and God. And even if you don't believe in God or the Bible, someone's sexual preference is a private moral issue and has no bearing on a person's right to vote or serve their country.

So I would say that is a no on your question.

NO. thats like saying only men 6ft with brown hair and blue eyes should be the only ones who can vote and serve. We need to get rid of ignorance in this country if we ever are to move forward.

What difference does it make what the person does in their bedroom? Sounds to me like your a bit afraid of your own sexuality. People like you should go and crawl back under the rock you came from.

Also, please do everyone a favor and format your hard drive. So you don't infect the world with your garbage thinking.

No - we should not. They have every right to do everything as a heterosexual does. What does being a homosexual have to do with being in the military? Or voting? They are as intelligent, and strong as anyone else.

1. No
2. No

The notion of barring able, law-abiding, patriotic Americans who are of military age from serving their country seriously strikes me as quite anti-American. That goes double for barring them from the voting booth.

Probably you are hurting the sentiments of about 7% of Americans - gays and lesbians.
