Why would you risk a fraud conviction based on if they will immediately report. They will at some point when the company pays the unemployment taxes. Making a false claim for unemployment is a crime. if it is a large enough amount it could be a felony. Nothing like a felony charge to make you think you were rich on unemployment.

Just don't do it.

When I was laid off about a year ago, the company I worked for notified the state employment commission when I resumed working. If nothing else, they'll know when the company your husband works for starts paying unemployment for them. In NC, I was kept about a week or so behind, so I got my unemployment for about a week after I actually started back.

the government will eventually accuse you of stealing and ruin your credit by sticking like a lien on it saying you owe x amount of money.

Its not worth it. I suggest you borrow the money you need to get by from a relative or friend.

yes, make sure you steal from the system. they in no way have a way of finding this stuff out. I'm sure you are the first ones to think of this. unemployment of course, owes you more money, because it is their fault you have bills.

you think your behind now, wait until you go to jail for theft.
