to get out of work/school (for the kiddos) early when you really don't feel like being there??
a) pretend you are sick and ask to go home
b) go to lunch and just don't come back; act like you don't know what they are talking about when they confront you the next day
c) sneak out, then sneak back in to clock out at your usual time

I usually ask the boss if his daughter is still single. He avoids me for the rest of the day, and I can simply leave.

I've never ducked out of work early... but in high school i did all the time...
during lunch i would leave, but i'd come back because teachers take attendance...
i would ask to go to the nurse if i wanted to leave school early, then i would fake being sick...haha. they would always be like... are you sure you can drive home? and i'd be like...yah i think so...but it's okay i live right around the corner.. then they made me call when i got home.

Niff, I'm fortunate enough to have a great deal of latitude with my supervisor. I have x number of things to get done in x amount of time.
I can pretty much come and go as I please, but I'd better damn well have x done at x time.
I just grab my keys and say, "I've got a personal matter to attend." Works every time, not that I abuse it.

*i can do nothing cuz wen i pretend to be sick n go home then my parents take me to the hospital n then my fakeness is revealed!
*i shud come back after lunch cuz in every classes they take register n if they find that i m not there than they find me through cameras(we hav cameras everywhere for security!)
*I can't sneak out cuz we have cameras everywhere n we can't go out of school cuz there r security staffs in every gates!!!
*I don't hav any other reasons cuz wenever i try somethin then i m caught!*^_^*

Tell them you have an appointment, unless they are ones to ask for a doctors note. Just tell them a kid is sick at school and you have to go pick them up. If you dont have a kid you can say niece or nephew.

I always pretend to be sick.....works every time!!!!!!!!!!!!! But sometimes for a little thrill i ask to go to the bathroom and just leave!!! LOL

I never take the chance of losing my job. I have actually never called in sick and even went to work sick.

I am self-employed and my wife works with me. We just plan ahead of time and communicate if something like that comes up.

I do nothing. I stay at work until my shift is done. To leave my post before my shift was over would be considered abandonment to my patients.
