They'll find out. It's not worth the 'risk'. Perhaps your hubby can pick up a few extra hours of overtime, to help compensate?
Unless, of course his EDD pay period ended the Friday before he starts his job again.

They will find out. It will not be worth the hassle, so call them and let them know right away. If you don't, you will have to pay them back, with interest and maybe some penalties. If you think you are having money troubles now, wait until they get done with you. Don't mess with the government, not worth it.

It is best to report his income A.S.A.P. The government has ways to find out if his Social Security number is active or not. If you try to keep getting his benefits, you may have to pay it back or be in deep trouble.

They will find out. When he starts work payroll information will be forwarded to the state and to the irs. Not worth the risk, no matter the current difficulty.

you risk getting in big trouble by double dipping - would have to pay back the money he wasn't entitled to, maybe fines, penalties and possible criminal charges and be barred from collecting unemployment in the future - don't risk it. get a 2nd job to help get caught up on bills

Whooaaaaa......if he's back to work and does not report that to the unemployment commission, he's committing fraud. Do you REALLY want to risk that ? In order to receive his unemployment compensation, he has to certify that he's not working for every week he collects.
NOT a smart thing to do, dear.

You will have to pay it back in full. Don't even accept another dollar from unemployment- seriously. Because chances are you don't have what they've paid you sitting around to give back.

Employed persons are not eligible for unemployment benefits. Your husband got what he was entitled to. If he cheats to get more, at best he may have to repay it with interest, at worst he may be subject to criminal penalties.

They will find out and come after you for any overpayment plus interest. Don't try to defraud the taxpayers.
