How long does a couple have to be married for the wife to be able to draw her husband's social security?

There is no time limit specified if they are married at the time of death. See http://ssa.gov/ww&os2.htm

The 10 year time frame is in regards to a divorce, not a death.

Use to be five years but I think it is ten years now..but you can check for sure by going to the SS web site and all your answers are there..
