Yes I can imagine that and everyone should think about this all year round and not just at Christmas.

I was at my daughters school the other day having lunch with her and there was a little boy at her table. I had seen him a few times before and noted he didn't bring much to eat.
On this day, he had a few chips and a hotdog--no bun--just a plain hot dog--nothing else, not even a drink.
I asked him if he wanted a milk and he did, then he told me that he couldn't bring drinks, that they ahd no money for food--they got the chips and hot dogs for free.
This boy will NEVER, have just chips and hotdogs again for lunch.
His milk is paid for threw the rest of the school year so is his breakfast. I also pack a extra lunch for the boy.

I know the next question--why doesn't he get free meals---his mother has never filled out the lunch form!

That's whats so sad to me this time of year. All the little ones not even having a chance of a Christmas. That's why I donate alot this holidays, a little bit helps, I hope.

Yes Tina I can...I was a property manager for many years....we would make sure any family without...got a tree...and I would go and buy toys..I remember one time I bought these 2 boys a bike..their faces were priceless...such sheer pure joy! Also I would contact our police dept. and they would play Santa to the homes I called in and bring gifts...oh the children were so excited...imagine Santa came to the door!!!!

You obviously work for a great company....how cool!

I CAN imagine a kid without Christmas tree, and that's why it breaks my heart.

we do boxes here
and you get a list
its presents for people who have little or nothing

its sad when you see the things you are asked for
toothbrush and toothpaste
soap
wash cloths
sanitary towels
shaving foam etc

these should not be viewed as luxuries & gifts
they are essentials

its very very sad
