Why are all Liberals Socialists?

Sorry...should have worded it better. Why do all Cons think all Libs are Socialists? Just for the record, I'm a Lib. I'm wondering why people feel that way. Again, sorry about the miscommunication!

I think you are mistaken. If you rephrase your question to replace "conservatives" with "true believers of Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the right wing media" and you'd be more on target.

Thoughtful people -- regardless of their politics -- realize that there are different approaches to get to the same goals of peace and prosperity. It is the non-thinkers -- the parrots -- who engage in this type of name calling.

If a liberal was a socialist, he'd call himself a socialist.

Liberals believe in a finely tuned, regulated, capitalist economy with laws and programs that help the little guy work his way up, and that also protect citizens, workers, consumers, and the environment from corporate abuse.

We are just not ideologouges who think the "invisible hand of capitalism" fixes everything.

If you ask people whether the government should protect special places like the Grand Canyon from development or ensure that corporations don't dump waste into rivers or sell consumers unsanitary food products, most people will say yes.

So apparently, we must not be alone.

all liberals are not socialist., only the extreme left are. one problem with the media is that they portray everyone as extreme left or extreme right, totally ignoring the rest of us.
