Under President Bush the national debt has skyrocketed going from about 5.5 trillion to over 9 trillion! It was going down during the Clinton administration for the first time after it had skyrocketed under Reagon and Bush Sr. yet Clinton's sexual act overshadowed the progress he was making for the country to the point he was prosecuted to get kicked out of office, but there's not even a consideration for it for the president who has nearly doubled the nation's debt? I don't get it!

Y'all are thinking so narrowly, stating he was impeached for lying under oath. So let me rephrase - why did he even get to the level of going under oath to testify about a bj when our current president isn't going under oath to testify why he's commiting suicide with our economy??

How about how he declared war without the approval of Congress or Senate, which is ILLEGAL under the US constitution? He overrode the decision not to go to war like a tyrant which would make the founding fathers rolll in their graves, yet he wasn't put under oath about that, but clinton was about a bj. Explain THAT one.

Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998, and acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. The charges, perjury and obstruction of justice, arose from the Monica Lewinsky scandal and Paula Jones law suit.
President Bush declared war against the vote against it by Congress and Senate which is against the Constitution to do, resulting in the national debt and deficit doubling and triplining respectively, the housing market and economy going down the toilet among other bad things yet he has not been charged for declaring war illegally.

George Bush has started an ill-timed and disastrous war under false pretenses by lying to the American people and to the Congress; he has run a budget surplus into a severe deficit; he has consistently and unconscionably favored the wealthy and corporations over the rights and needs of the population; he has destroyed trust and confidence in, and good will toward, the United States around the globe; he has ignored global warming, to the world's detriment; he has wantonly broken our treaty obligations; he has condoned torture of prisoners; he has attempted to create a theocracy in the United States; he has appointed incompetent cronies to positions of vital national importance.
Now, would someone please give him a bj so we can impeach him?

Clinton lied under oath to fix the outcome of a lawsuit. That's perjury, a felony and an impeachable offense.
National debt is only one aspect of the economy. In general, the economy is doing quite well. Unemployment is down, the stock market is up, and other factors have shown marked improvement. And the President has very limited influence on it.

The B.J has been answered.
There is no crime or punishment for raising the national debt. If so Carter , Johnson, Nixon, FDR, Eisenhower, Truman, Ford, JFK, Reagan, G.H.W. Bush ( another fact you are to ignorant to get, there is no Bush Sr. or Jr.) would all be guilty of impeachable offenses. The Clinton administration got the deficit reduced with a republican controlled congress ( same Republican control G.W, Bush enjoyed in first term. They are acting like Dem's. to) They also cut spending on military and intelligence. Look at what that got us, two attack in NYC. By your line of reasoning, every one responsible for this should also be impeached, or removed ( that's two for slick Willy). How about slick Willy sharing nuclear secrets with China ( that's 3). Declaring war, G.W Bush( see the difference between G.H.W and G.W, no Jr.) did go to congress and get approval. It was not until last 2 years that the socialist Dem's have been saying they oppose war. If they oppose the war, than quit funding it. The president can't do much more than what congress allows. Since the Dem's have control over congress, why hasn't it been done?
Educate your self before posting questions. You sound like Rosie O', Nancy Pelosi, Barbra Boxer, Cindy Sheehan. Very embarrassing.

BJ Clinton WAS impeached for lying under oath in a federal court. No other charges were made and none needed because perjury is a most serious offense. BJ was also disbarred for the same reason so he can no longer practice law.
Bush is quite careful to never say anything under oath and does what he can to prevent any of his people from testifying.

Clinton was impeached for lying to a grand jury. Please don't embarrass your self with the "impeached for a bj line". The war and the expense of the war has been approved by congress.
He was impeached for a statement he made during the sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former Arkansas government employee, Paula Jones. In a sworn deposition for this case, Clinton denied having a "sexual affair" with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Many constitutional scholars believe the president has the authority to make war. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Resolution

Why do you neolibs not get this the first 450 thousand times we explain it to you? Do you really not understand it or do you refuse to understand it?
One more time...Clinton WAS NOT IMPEACHED FOR A BJ!!! Get that? Clinton was impeached FOR LYING UNDER OATH TO A GRAND JURY, which is a CRIME, and also got him disbarred. Increasing the national debt is NOT A CRIME. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to get it. It's really simple if you believe the facts, which I think is the problem.

Typical lefty answer, "oh, it was just sex, leave him alone!"
Sorry toots, it wasn't because of the sex, it was because of lying under oath, which is a felony.
As soon as the Dem's come up with a suitable crime, I'm SURE President Bush will be impeached as well.
Not.
The Dems in congress obviously are much smarter than you and know the no impeachable offense has been committed.
Get over it

Get your facts straight. Clinton was impeached for LYING TO THE GRAND JURY. Also the Bush economy is booming. The national debt was reduced by billions because of the Bush tax cuts. All you Global Warming believers want to ruin the economy anyway so what are you complaining about?
Additional: Did Billy boy get congressional approval to go to war in Bosnia?

Since you don't get it, I would suggest that you get an education instead of wasting your time playing around on YA.
A BJ was not the reason for Clintons impeachment - lying to a grand jury was.
As for President Bush - Nothing to impeach for.

Because Probie your looking for sense and there isn't any regarding politics sometimes. We live in a somewhat puritanically nation, even that sounds hypocritical considering our media and airways. Perhaps its that the Republicans yell louder than Democrats want to stick together. I am still amazed and proud of his efforts in Bosnia, not to mentined you account of deficient reduction.
