Branch manager in a clothing retail store... that is mid level management, so you get it from the staff, the field management and the customers, not to speak of the looooong hours and the loooooow pay.
What an 'unthankful' job. When there are angry customers the staff call you to handle them... when the field managers are unhappy with the branch, who gets the punch?... and on top of it, I had a rebel employee who was about twice my age. In fact, I was the youngest in that branch, but I had to manage all the old ladies working there. I've been working at the company for about 18 months when I was promoted to branch manager and I was 26 y/o. The other employees have been there for ever, ages 40 something, 50 something and 60 something. It was so hard. I never wanna do that ever again.

Being an Import/Export Coordinator for a distribution company. It was stressful and not easy to manage hundreds of ocean bound containers. It was also not easy working with U.S. Customs. They work by the book- no exceptions. Paperwork had to be flawless.

My first job...I had absolutely nothing to do, I just had to be there just in case the phone would ring (it never did). I was alone with no future, bored stiff, long hours and low pay.
I lasted almost a month then I quit and got an education.
