ive never played one but i have a ps2 and was wodnering how much better it is, also is 449 a good price for the elite and the 2 games that come with are they any good, i was wondering if it is worth it or if i should stay with my ps2 until the next set of systems come out? does anyone know when the next set of video game systems come out?

get a ps3 the diference between 360 and ps3 is:
1-360 has better games now but ps3 has a better future in games (2008) and 50 exlusive games for ps3 r coming in 2008 such as MGS4 tekken 6 killzone 2 god of war 3 and many more
2-360 has many problems in it such as red ring of death it has 33% of faliure and i had my ps3 for a long time and nothing happend to it it runs perfectly it has 0.2% faliure
3-ps3 has better graphics than 360
4-xbox live u have to pay for it and playstation network is free
5-ps3 has its own web browser u can surf the web
6-ps3 blu-ray disc is 50gb and their making new ones for metal gear solid 4 and its 200gb (wow)

It will be a LONG time before the "next" set of systems come out. The PS3 and Wii just came out this year and the 360 is only about a year older.
The graphics on the 360 are great and there are some fantastic games available for it.
Not sure if that's a good price or not. I suggest you check out the forums at www.cheapassgamer.com to find the best deals on games and consoles.

The next set probably has still quite a few years till the release. I think that 449 really isnt worth it for the elite. If you really need 120gig hard drive and want a hdmi cable then sure get the elite. But i would just stick with the normal one. I have a xobx 360 and it is great. There is a pretty big difference between the counsels. Especially now with HD. It is a pretty big step.

There is no difference between the Elite and Arcade versions of the Xbox 360 except for the color. So it would be cheaper to just buy the 120GB hard drive and stick that on there. Unless you WANT the black console, then go for it but thats a lot of money.

next consoles wont come out for another 5 to 8 years so i dont think it worth the wait. there always going to be new and better stuff down the road its just better to enjoy what out now.,
it is really worth the money to get a new console. much better on line system, great marketplace to download movies, tv shows, arcade games, game demos and videos, music videos and so much more.. you can even tie it in to you computer and get access to your music videos and pictures. and the graphics are awesome, but it helps a lot if you have an hd tv.
so yes I would get a new console.
