The Mormons in general could not do such a thing. Prophets are chosen, if you will, by the counselors in the First Presidency and the members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Nope, that position is already filled, and not by any election.
To my knowledge, he is a member, but not one of the leaders.

Oh come on.....just 'cause he is Mormon doesn't mean we can't of shouldn't vote for him.....vote for the person that will make a difference in this country.....even if he has a different religion.
