Yes. Watch out for China! Over 4 times the population and land mass, they do not have a deficit like the US, their military is way bigger and they are the fastest growing nation in the world!! The US owes a lot of money to China and is a slave to them already!

If America eventually ceases to be a world power, I believe it will be for economic reasons. The rise of other world economies and the falling dollar make an economic downturn a greater possibility. Other factors like the climate or some natural disaster could accelerate it. I don't think anybody can bring America down militarily. Even if several join together in the attempt. Whatever happens, I think it will be a good long time before anybody has to worry about it.

Most of the US debt is owned by foreign banks and foreign governments. We make very little here anymore. China makes 70% of the worlds manufactured goods. The US Dollar has declined in value every year since 1967. That means all these foreign good cost US more. China and India are growing at a rate 5-6x faster than the USA. At least we still have a strong military to defend us. We'll, you can ex out the military if Hillary get in office. Then we're in real trouble.

Of course it will.
And it will fall faster if Americans keep up this arrogant notion of superiority/invincibility they seem to revel in.
Nothing is forever except infinity.
One day America too will fall just like the Roman Empire and every empire before and since.
Until that time maybe we should circumvent that by ACTUALLY being a force for TRUE GOOD in this world. At least then we may delay the inevitable.

We are falling and we are falling fast. I just returned from a trip to Europe and it was very enlightening. I was surprised to realize what a horrible job we're (not) doing in education. I was impressed with the way the majority of people speak fluently, AT LEAST 2 languages. We sure can't say that about our graduating students here in the state. I was told if I had any questions to ask anyone under 25. They all speak English. Wish I could say that about Americans.

Of course. No empire lasts forever. The Mongols, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Incas, Aztecs, Maya, French, British and Germans all thought they would rule forever, and all were wrong. America's time will come too. Climate change may be the most important factor, as water shortages and crop failures in the midwest lead to growing economic problems.

Absolutely. It started a while back when America forgot WHY they were a world power and started insinuating themselves into other countries business. All that intrusiveness has come back to bite us in the *ss and our current stance is precarious. We need to start once again on focusing on innovation, competition, and plain old stubborness in putting Americans to work for Americans.

we will only fall if we, as a nation, become so divided to the point where it is out of control... the reason why the US has enjoyed great success and world dominance is because we have been united and we are a nation of moral aptitude and common sense.. when all that goes out the window, so will our great country.. and it's headed that way..
yes, yes.. we owe lots of money to China... Britain owed us alot of money.. they just paid the final amount from their WWII debt recently.. and they haven't faltered much as a world power.. ALL industrialized nations owe money to somebody... but, if the US were to fall... so would the Chinese.. they NEED us as much as we need them.. we are their consumer base..

It will in time, but America is not even 300 years old yet. The country is still very young.
Eventually, it will go by the way of the Romans, and the British Empire; but not for a very long time.
Unless Hillary gets elected, then it's all over!
