I am asking a similar question because we democrats are clearly NOT that swift so I had to make it so that they understand.

Since the two front runners for the Dems are Hillary and Obama, it doesn't matter at all which one gets nominated.
The Repubs could nominate Bart Simpson and beat either of those two.

They don't have to push Obama. Any of the democratic leaders now running will lose to a Republican.
