I'm quite clumsy and so have a tendency to just fall over for no real reason. I'd rather people laughed than did the terribly concerned treating you like an invalid thing, so you have to smile and grimace and say stuff like "No, really I'm fine, I just tripped, I'm fine really" - when you feel like a complete idiot and all you want to do is swear a lot and go and hide in a corner.
But that's just me.

yes it is rude but the person that falls should just laugh about it. I mean, some rude people may laugh just to be mean... but, people like me laugh because it is funny and not so that I can be rude

I can't help it...... Last weekend we went out to hear a band we know. My husband had too much to drink, so I went outside to the hotdog vender. When I came back in, I tripped and fell down, all the way down. But I did land with my arm out & the hotdog up like a football. The only people that saw that, were the girl at the door & the lead singer of the band,

I don't know if I'd call it rude, but it definitely indicates the kind of person you are if seeing someone else fall makes you feel so happy that you laugh.

If we were friends and just goofing around I think it's just funny but if they are emotional or especially if you don't know them atleats don't laugh in thier prescence. That's very rude!

Yes...but I can't help it...it's funny (unless they get hurt, of course). I laugh when I fall too.

I do too, but sometimes it's hard depending on how they look when they fall. I bet I've looked pretty funny when I have fallen too though.

I laugh at myself when I fall, but I do try not to laugh when other people fall...atleast other people except for my husband...I'm laughing to myself now remembering one of his falls.
