Over 1,500 different animal species practice homosexuality.
9 out of 10 giraffe pairings occur between males, male bottlenose dolphins go through periods of being exclusively homosexual, female macaques form intense bonds with each other and are serially monogamous, & almost a quarter of black swan families are parented by homosexual couples.
There are even pairs of penguins that are gay at New York City's Central Park Zoo, the New York Aquarium, and Bremerhaven's Zoo in Germany.

The neighbour's dog was always trying to mount the other male dog in the back garden, hard to explain to a child that.
Gay behaviour has been seen in well over a hundred species of animals. Inter-species too. I knew a rabbit that tried to hump chickens and a cat.

Not necessarily gay, but I know a labrador that is completely indiscriminating when it comes to his sexual preference. With most dogs, a slap of the thigh is a allurum to come here, with this dog, it's a stimulus to get his f' on. I saw him once start humping the air, just to get himself ready, before mounting a park bench and getting intimate with it. And it regularly tries it on with other dogs, irrespective of gender. This one hasn't been fixed.

My male dog was Frank until we found it cavorting with the next door neighbour's male dog. Neither had been desexed so it was not a lack of hormones that attributed to the bambang... needless to say, we now call him Francis and he will not be caught dead outside without his designer collar and he's been hounding (good little pun) us for a nose job for years!

I used to have a lesbian staffy, I know that lots of female dogs mount other females when they are in season but she would mount them and then spurt her orgasm all over which was pretty gross. She used to let the male get near her but then pull away and bite his thingie once tied even when she was ready to accept him. I have never known another female dog like that before.

Try this link. It's much more common than has been considered in the past.
Did you know that a species of frog changes it's sex to match the population level? If it's male it will change to female if there are not enough female frogs and vice-versa.

I've seen a male dog hump another male dog, and a friend owns two males, though they are fixed, that hump each other... Not sure if its homosexuality but it is possibly an instinct... But then again, maybe it is, who knows! ^.^

My neighbours Labrador was publicly 'outed' by the family cat as an act of revenge.
