Comcast has been to the house twice. During these two visits they have switched out the modem, switched out the Ethranet cable, and have done all other kinds of troubleshooting techniques. NO LUCK! They had once suggested that my ethranet port has a defect. Then, they had ruled that out due to the fact that my ethranet port reconizes the cable when it is inserted and removed. Any suggestions?

There are many different issues which can cause a connection to fail. It would help immensely if you could provide more details in your question. I would like to know if you have any connection at all, what type of error message, if any, you are receiving when the connection fails, such as "limited or no connectivity", or in your browser if the window just goes blank, or if it states that it is unable to locate the address at this time, or simular statements, what OS you are using, what your network consists of, such as one computer or more, if you use a router or hub, etc. If you are using a router if you are also using security such as an encryption method, and what type if you are, and when this issue began occurring and what you were doing when it did.

I am surprised that the Comcast technicians left without fixing your issue. What have they said about the issue the last time they were there? Are they returning to try different options, and if so, what did they say?

I will watch your question to see if you update it with more information.
