Check with supplier if it had a soundcard, most do, most motherboards have it built in, and all laptops.
Then you just need a set of speakers if a desktop, and probably the drivers installed.
Supplier of PC should know what drivers you need.,

Are you sure there isnt a sound device installed and it is just the drivers you need. Go to your control panel, system hardware tab then choose device manager and see if there is a soundcard installed from there, right click it and update driver. If there is then you will be able to see the soundcard in the back of the tower if you can find microphone and speaker type holes coloured, green pink and blue or similar.

If not you can easily install a PCI soundcard in one of the empty slots in the back of your tower.

You may need to purchase and install a sound card....also you will need speakers...

how you install depends on the computer and the card but ut should be basicly , open the case, install the card , boot the pc and follow the manual.

All computers now days come with sound cards. They are usually built into the mother board. Check and make sure it is not muted and check the system hardware if one is listed there you have one already.

It happend cos u replaced your OS and the sound drivers did no longer get put in precise. so attempt downloading audio drivers from microsoft or your comp product web site. yet i might recommand you to maximum appropriate click on volume at backside maximum appropriate nook of your laptop and positioned the quantity up on each and every thing to confirm if it works in case you havn't already
