He is getting involved with the NFL and cable companies so that games on NFL Network might be seen by more people.

Is this a good idea for a government figure to get involved like this?

We have soldiers getting killed everyday in Iraq and this is all he is worried about?!?!?! What a loser. It's so glad to know tonights Broncos/Texans game is such a high priority for him. Wonder what his agenda would have been had he been elected President. Getting Madonna in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?

Oh and LSU she was much better behaved, and no one heard of her, while she was Heinz wife. Not sure he would have been as beloved had they know he was married to such an idiot. To be honest I think Kerry influenced her more then her being like that on her own. The field is named after Heinz, a respected name(that SHE married into), but the owner is the Rooney family.
Oh the real question I am against the whole idea. Mostly because he is really more concerned about ONE game then about getting the real issue resolved. It isn't Time Warner's fault that the NFL wouldn't let it use the digital tier instead of saying the network had to be on basic package or not at all. Well guess what NFL, people aren't getting satellite. People aren't trying to get the NFL Network. Time to accept it and play ball with the Cable companies if you REALLY want to reach people.

Someone needs to dig up that John Kerry photo of him trying to throw a football..
Jim Baw, I believe you had it??

that is what we'll get if John Kerry is involved...

Edit: ok what idiots are saying that Theresa Heinz Kerry owns the Steelers? The Rooneys (one of the oldest franchises in history) own them. They play on Heinz field, it doesn't mean Heinz ketchup owns them. RCA doesn't own the Colts.

As much complaining that goes on here you would think that anybody that offered to help get the NFL Network on more cable companies would be good news.

Some people are just never happy. It doesn't effect me because I have Directv and the NFL Network but I think it is great that somebody has stepped up for football fans.

No, the government will just make things worse. He will be looking for a new job soon, so I guess he is looking to get in with a cable company or the NFL.

LSUBalls, how dumb are you? Teresa Heinz does not own the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heinz has the naming rights for the football stadium not the team. Idiot. Oh and yes I think it is a good idea for the government to get involved. Remember the government does have a word on what goes on major cable networks and there is a committee dedicated to that subject.

Well, it has a better chance of happening with a gov't official than it does with solely cable customers complaining...but I have NFL Network, so I'll see it...
