Of course, you can always try restarting the router/computer/etc., but I am sure you have already...I had this problem once..try going to Start>Network and Sharing Center>Manage Wireless Networks>Adapter Properties>TCP IPv4 and mess with that...try putting them both on obtain IP address automatically...if that doesn't work go to Run>CMD>type ipconfig /all and enter it in manually..hope this is what you are looking for.

A problem I found with Vista is that it doesn't seem to automatically reconnect to hidden networks. If you hide your wireless SSID then this could be the problem - try setting the router to broadcast this and see if this sorts out your problem. It's not a great solution, and you may need to research further on how to resolve this if you want to hide your SSID, but at least you will know what the base problem is.

Hi, here is a great link to all the assistance you could need in adding your Vista computer to your network:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/default.mspx

I gave you the Home page to Vista Help and How-to because it contains so much information and you might be interested in it.

All you need to do to access the information on adding your Vista system is to click on the icon for Networking. A new page with links will open and give you step by step instructions on everything you need to do. This is much easier than my attempting to explain it all here.

Good luck and have a nice day.

So then its time to spend to 50$ to get a sparkling router.
