Most religions celebrate their new year, but the year doesn't always start in January and end in December. For example, the Jewish year is based on the movement of the moon rather than the earth/sun, and we celebrate new year (Rosh Hashannah) some time in September or October, depending on when it happens to fall.

Well the Chinese celebrate it but not on January 1st, the have another date for their New Years

New Year is not a religious celebration for the Christian faith. And there is a seperate Jewish and Islamic new year, as they have different calenders.

Don't know about not celebrating but I do know the chinese have their own new year. Which is not jan.1st.

no idea, I only thought the Chinese and the Scottish celebrated the New Year.

chinese have a different time for new year to us so they won't celebrate 31 dec
