There's an expiration date on the bottom of it because probably after some time, it could go bad (chemical content might change after some time i guess?).
It's probably something that they're "required" to do to cover their butts just in case a consumer decides to say "hey, my chapstick went bad... i'll call their company and yell at them till they give me another one for free" to save a few dollars.
I'd say if it keeps your lips from getting chapped... then it still works...
if your lips fall off... call the company and yell at them until they give you another free one to save yourself a few dollars. lol

WOW! I didn't know there was an expiration date for friendship. I wonder if my best friend of 25 YEARS knows this. I'll have to ask her about it. 1) Occasional buddies are "acquaintances", not friends. 2) Friendship does not have an expiration date. If it does, then it's above the 25 year mark and I haven't seen the date yet. 3) If you believe that there's no such thing as a true friend, then obviously, you haven't found one yet. And I am sorry about that.

there are some chemicals that after an amount of time will weaken so if your chap stick is past its expiration date, a new one would be more affective

my friend ashley says she wouldnt use that. she says that tube of chapstick is politically incorrect.
