I put my change in the bell ringers little red bucket when ever I see them outside a store I'm in - even though that ringing is aggravating. I know they help people.

I gave some things to a toy drive in our work lobby.

I donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital all year and a Native American church (Lakota) out west.

My mother's church asked for donations to some destitute people in Burma. I broke down and gave a few tubes of toothpaste, brushes and some lotions. They only asked for these kinds of things - not toys. If it wasn't for my mother asking me to, I would not have as I try to take care of the needy here at home.

I donated 7 Chinese Auction baskets for my friend's Chinese auction which benefited some organization that helps the needy.

I try and remember that while I don't have as much as others, I have a lot more than most. Some day I may be in a situation where I would need some help. I'm not one of those that are uncharitable and won't help others. I'm sure if one of those people neede help, what with their beliefs and all, they would be too embarassed to ask for help. Yeah right, they would be the first to be knocking on the door for help.

Yesterday Uncle Daru and I took a small pickup bed full of computer towers and parts to a man that fixes them up for poor children. He was sure he could get at least 5 units out of our stuff. He has a list of 80 kids and only 40 computers ready. Anyone in Tampa area can email me for his phone number to donate.

Last year, I volunteered at my church to help deliver meals to the elderly on Christmas Day. This year, I have not made any definite plans, but will help someone in some way.

The real unfortunate at Xmas are those who have bought into the myth of Jesus. Since they are loaded and represent an 80% majority in US, they don't need my help. Just my pity.
