More or less I have clear the concept of softcore and hardcore, but I find confussing the idea of mediumcore. Wikipedia just refers to mediumcore magazines. But, what about the movies?

Why, are you planning to go into the lucrative porn business?
Big fan of Ron Jeremy, I am!

Get this! John Waters last film "A Dirty Shame" got an NC-17 rating without having a live sex act in the entire movie and minimal nudity! They just talked about sex a lot! There is something really really rotten in America.

The way things are going in America, soon it'll be like Iran and just showing bare ankles will get an NC-17 rating slapped on your film! Puritans AKA Neuters really really SUCK!

Mediumcore is where you can do certain things for real and the rest is fake. Best example is the Lar Von Trier film Nymphomaniac where you see actors do things themselves (although they re performing on fake genitals) and then the rest is done by sex doubles. also check out some of the thai soft and hard movies on porn sites (Use a search engine) where oral is real but there s no real penetration.
