Yes. It's a betrayal & disgrace to the British people. Brown is taking away all our powers, giving them to unelected Brussels politicians without giving us the Referendum he promised the country before he came Prime Minister.
It is also a betrayal to the millions of brave men who gave the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives fighting in wars to protect Britain's Sovereignty and to stop Britain falling under foreign domination. In the few seconds it took Brown to scribble his signature on this piece of paper, Brown has stated that those millions who fought for Britain's independence have wasted their lives. It's a betrayal & disgrace to the British people. And there's nothing the British people can do. Brown will go down in history as the Prime Minister who gave the country away.
If those entrusted with power by the electorate cannot be trusted to guard that power and use it as intended, then they no longer have any moral right to it and should hand it back...

The problem here is that all this nonsense about a referendum is nothing but a smokescreen. It is nothing more than a very cynical means of misleading the majority of people into pleading for a chance to vote on something we don't actually need to vote on. We don't want a European Treaty, Constitution, or any other idiotic governance by anyone other than the government we actually elect to do the job. In theory at least, they are subject to our continued approval. Don't be fooled by referendum talk. Its a con trick. The likely prospect is that right at the last moment, the British electorate will be offered some form of referendum, and countless fools will think, 'There you are, old Gordon's not so bad after all. He's given us a chance to vote on it so lets give him our support' Don't be fooled. We don't want a European Treaty or Constitution, or even a referendum What we want is for a continuation of British Independence and democracy. It may not be perfect, but its better than anything else on offer!!! As for Gordon Brown, well despite the fact that he keeps trying to make it sound like he's the new boy on the plot, He isn't! He's been around for years, and has been at least as responsible as Tony Blair for the state this country has got into. So the sooner we see the back of him, the better. Sadly, the opposition don't seem to be able to muster anyone with an ounce of common sense either, but almost anything has to be better than the sorry lot we have in charge of the country at present.

Blair promised a referendum on the treaty and then jumped ship!. Brown said it wasn't necessary. Well if some people replying to this question had done some reading they would have found it is 99% the old constituition rejected by the French and Dutch people.'Bottler' Brown knew he would lose a referendum so true to socialist democratic ideals he decided not to have one. Whilst Brown may have betrayed this country at least he hasn't betrayed his principles because he has none.

Just the latest betrayal in a long line started by Ted Heath continued even under Thatcher, increased by Major, advanced by Blair and nearly completed by Brown.
I vote we change from Guy Fawks to burning an EU flag on 5th Nov. every year.

Yes he has.He doesn't care either, because he is in the family of the EU elite. The untouchables.
Once he leaves office the last place he will be is the UK. Like Blair he will have a wealthy happy life planned out for himself and his family somewhere where he won't have to worry about the state he has left this country in.
I hope he and his cronies get everything they deserve!

i disagree with the treaty and or constitution in general. we should not give up and of our control at all

No. It doesn't contain anything that important really: it creates a couple of new jobs for career politicians & thus wastes some money but its relatively harmless.
