You could have done whatever you wanted on your birthday last year. Now, you're really over the hill!! However, time will never pass you by/when I read your poetry, I feel high/so I will never stay behind/because you stimulate my mind. Happy birthday.

An honest answer, I was seriously feeling it up until i hit the line 'man...mustard' it's not as strong as your previous lines. Switch that line and I am sure your poem will be even better.
And possibly think of using another expression rather than 'puffer' but it still works.
