As a Favre fan... To be completely honest I would say the only one I can see him possibly breaking is the TD's... hes 20,000 yds away, over 2,000 completions away and about 100 starts away... you figure there are 16 games to a regular season... that means manning needs six HEALTHY more seasons just to do it... most players do not spend as much time in the NFL as Favre did and they usually are not as lucky as Brett with injury either...

I would say the passing yards & td passes but the games started would be a hard one in my opinion & not sure about the pass completions either. Some fans are saying don't forget about Tom Brady & I am not but some of Mannings stats are better than Bradys. Brady has 2 seasons with 4000 plus yards passing while Manning has 7.

TD passes current Manning 302 157 games
Brady 192 --- 109 games
passing yards Manning 40,944
Brady 25,659
I think the passing yards for Brady will be tough to pass Manning in the end but td passes maybe but time will tell. Both are gret QB's & future HOFer's in my book

There is a good possiblity that he can break all of them. Manning could surpass Favre's touchdown record in 7 years if he only puts up 19 touchdowns each season. I am pretty sure he will make it in 5. As far as games started there is a difference of 97 games. Counting only regular season and not the playoffs that they make every year that is 6 years. They just need to keep his O-line good and he will be Ok.

I say Manning can do the TDs and Yards. Completions...maybe. Don't think he'll do the Games started though. Not sure Manning will be playing for another 6 or 7 years (assuming Favre's done this year that is...)

He might break them all or he might not break any. I think he is definitly capable, but it is way too hard to tell as we are talking about records that would be broken 5+ years from now. There is just too much that can happen. Manning is a tough guy, but he can get injured, all it might take is one shot to the throwing arm or an awkward turn of his leg and he might miss an entire season. Ask me again in 5 years.

Manning will break all of his records. Manning will start more games in a row than Favre, he has a good line that keep the pressure off of him, and he is a durable, sturdy, built player. If manning starts every game for 7 more years he will have 269 career starts in a row, which is achievable. He has to average 20 TD throws for the next 7 years to break Favre's record, very achievable. He has to average 2890 yards per season, achievable. And 275 completions per year for seven years. All these records seem achievable for Peyton Manning. He just has to continue to produce. Manning's lowest completion total in a season is 305, lowest TD total is 26, fewest yards are 3739. Given his average numbers, he will break these records. Don't get me wrong these numbers are PHENOMINAL but Peyton is just going to destroy them.

Manning could desire to have 4 extra years in him. IF he threw for 4,000 yards a 12 months, he might basically get sixteen,000 extra yards. not sufficient to interrupt the checklist. and that's assuming he can nevertheless positioned up 4,000 backyard seasons each 12 months whilst he gets older. He might ought to play a minimum of 5 or extra seasons to do it and that's if Favre defintiley retires this 12 months.

"could" is a pretty loose term. I think he could break them all, but there's a lot of variables with it. Health being the most important, which cannot be predicted. I think he'll break a few of Brett's but I can see talent depletion and a few injuries holding him back.

He might break some of them, so will brady. Manning will definately break his interception record if he keeps playing the Pats and chargers, LOL.

He will break them all because he is more consistent and can read a defense. I still think his best couple years are yet to come. Obviously the hardest to beat is the games started since being healthy every game is unpredictable.
