You access your routers configuration pages via a web browser. You need to locate your particular routers IP address, whcih is used to access the pages. If it is either Linksys or Dlink, it is probably: 192.168.1.1; if it is Belkin it is: 192.168.2.1
Simply enter the IP address into the web browsers main search box at the top of the browser, not one of the smaller boxes such as Google, Yahoo, or the new IE7 small box to the far right.
Type it in, and press Enter, or click on the GO button, (I don't show my GO button on my browser, I just use Enter)
The configurtion pages will appear in the browser window IF you have a viable connection established.
Now, the default password is usually blank, so just click on the proper button to sign in. I strongly reccomend you set an Administrator password straight away, or anyone could get into your routers configuration pages and make a mess of things. Make sure you set the password to something meaningfull to you, but not easily guessed by others. Do not turn on the remote access feature unless you are actually going away and have a real reason to access your configuration pages while gone. The remote access feature can allow crackers to access your pages. If you DO need to use it, make sure you turn it back off when you are done. Don't leave it on and open indefinantly.
Look in your Users Manual for your particular routers IP address, and use it to access your configuration pages.
If you can't locate your manual, go to Start-Run and type in cmd and hit Enter, and a command prompt will open.
Now, type in: ipconfig /all, and note that there is a space between ipconfig--/all. A bunch of information will scroll down the screen.
Locate the Gateway address, that is your router and that is the routers IP address. Use it to access your configuration pages as outlined above. Please set an Admin password as soon as you can!
Good luck and have a nice day.

if you know the ip address of your gateway..open a web browser and in the address field type in the Ip address.
it connects you to the router page..but u need to know the administrator password to get through..
if you couldnt find the ip address of your gateway,
goto start->run type cmd
it takes you to the command prompt
type the command ipconfig/ all
you would see your own ip address,subnet mask and the Default gateway which is what we wanted..
gud luck!
