Dear Smart People: Directly from his book: "Junkie, Pothead is where I was headed". Sounds like a problem. I never knew how he kicked it.

Who cares? He's a flash in the pan with "progressive" ideas that he claims are new and bold... just like every other politician. Meanwhile his socialist ideas have been proven faulty in the last 100 years. Yours too Hillary! If you're an American thinking about voting for either one of these fools, then I guess the old saying must be true... freedom really isn't for everyone.

So is McDonalds and Cable TV but many aren't kicking those. The premise that cocaine was severely abused by Obama is not valid - seeing that if it was I'm almost positive this would have been a heavy, NOTICABLE, burden on him during sometime in the public limelight. One does not make it to the Senate with this addiction. Casual use is a whole other thing, and is no more harmful than fatty foods, alcohol, and bad exercise habits.

Happy Holidays!

Like many young people, he messed around with something illegal... and fessed up to it. Unlike someone else who said he smoked but never inhaled. I don't remember Obama ever saying he had a habit. It's no big issue with me. I'm more concerned about Senator Kennedy driving drunk into the river and killing Mary Jo K.. and they are still trying to cover that up, years later.

Maybe he consulted with Bush.

Bush had a major Yayo problem back in the day.

Obama used to have a cocaine problem? I doubt that, and you haven't provided a link, but even if what you're saying is actually true, I for one couldn't care less. If you seek to discredit somebody, you should try a little harder than this, and maybe even provide reasons to vote FOR *your* candidate instead of attempting to destroy the opposition with fabrications and character assassinations.

Where is the proof that he did kick the coke habit? I doubt he did!

Same way Bush did. With support of his family and friends.

I haven't heard he had a habit. Many people were doing coke back in the 80's, like George Bush.

you would be hard pressed to find a 20 something in the 80's that didn't snort their fair share of blow.... including Bush.

Most of them quit cold turkey after Reagans semi-successful war on drugs inflated the prices. Not only is it a hard habit to kick, but it's an expensive habit to begin with.

At least he admitted to doing it, once upon a time....
