Over here in Mongolia, the People's Revolutionary Party was in power, and the great Punsalmaagiin Ochirbat was president.

As for the other 193 countries across the world, I'm not sure. Your question doesn't specify which, and I'm certainly not going to list all of them (!!!)

Power! Bill Clinton was in office during a very easy time of our history! The Democrats tend to take credit for a lot of things that happened before.

Democrats were in office during the 90's but did not address the world problems that existed then! They just know how to give our tax dollars to many social programs. I hope that they are not given the opportunity the next four years. They do not seem to know what is going on! They have no solutions! Power is not a given!

13/21 answers assume that you are asking about the USA.
Interesting.
In the UK the Conservative Government was in power, with John Major as prime minister, until they were defeated by Tony Blair's Labour party in 1997.
As other answers have said, I don't have information about all the other countries of the world.

The Democrats. The Republicans took control of Congress in 1994 elections, but good riddance that Bill Clinton was our President. By the way he beat the Republicans to the punch when it came to social security reform. His foreign policy may not have been great, but he did alot more domestically than Bush. Heck even his average foreign policy didn't get around 4,000 American soldiers killed and many more injured. Kudos Clinton.

True Mike B if we are talking about the USA, Democratic Congress took their seats in Jan 1994.
Democratic President/Congress = 20 years of Republicans getting control of the MESS the Democrats made.

The Republican Senate and House
Bill Clinton was just the monkey basking in the spotlight, and loving it. The president alone is not the power of the United States. The Senate and House and running the country, and that's the reason that the economy was robust in the 90s.

Democrats. In both the White House and Congress. Plus a liberal Supreme Court. Did they move on national health? No. Global warming? No. Bill was too busy becoming the hip president and all America got was the motor-voter bill.
