challenges to Indian tourism;

lack of infrastructure is the gravest issue posing a challenge to tourism in India. there is lack of everything from good roads to hotel rooms.

lack of good roads between tourist destinations has led to stagnation of tourism in many states.

increased terrorist activities with blasts in almost all cities of tourist interest has led to decline in the number of tourists.

the area surrounding the tourist spots are not well maintained.most of the monuments are in dilapidated condition.vendors surround the area and there is accumulation of garbage with a foul smell.

lack of tourist friendly culture also acts as a hindrance. foreign tourists are often fleeced by local vendors.

these are the main problems. if u want the remedies i can give u those also

While India has a number of wonderful places to visit, they don't have the press or overall appeal that people are looking for.

They don't really have cities or locations that draw in the tourists like that.

I don't know anyone that talks about going site-seeing in India. The only people that I even hear of doing that are people from the Discovery Channel or like that.
