I really dont understand. They report stuff that is not breaking a guideline just because they want to and then in minutes you get that email notice. How is that possible? Plus dont you need two ppl to get somethng deleted?

Okay... you can give me a thumbs down, if you want and it won't change what I am going to say.
Anybody can report your question and it does not always need two or more reports to be removed. As soon as that question is reported, it is Yahoo's choice to remove it or wait for more reports. This is done be machines, not real people.
Some questions never even make it out because of key words in them that get them deleted right away.

Also, there are questions that just seem to hang out there for twenty minutes to an hour before you get a violation notice. In that time, nobody even sees it, it's just hanging in space.
A question that has been removed once, can be asked again and stay without a problem. I have done that many times. lol
If you have any questions, please feel free to email and ask.
EDIT: Yes, even closed questions get reported. This can happen because of someone who answered the question and also because the closed questions are shown once they are closed.

OY
i feel like a broken record...but i will explain again
Violation Notices come directly from yahoo. It means the yahoo auditors have deemed your q/a against the terms of service.

If you are reported you will recieve a notice saying "your q/a has been reported by the yahoo answers community"
It only takes 1 person to report you, if they have a good reporting record and several if they don't.
I'd be curious to see what your question or answer was that got violated, becuz if you read the guidelines, pretty much any question you ask is against the rules...that's how yahoo works.
the sukk like that

Cause trolls know other trolls and they get together and decide they want to report someone's question when that question is well within the guidelines. They (the trolls) don't have a life and don't have sh!t else to do.

I've just read what "FTBM" wrote.......it sounds logical.....but!!
When a question has been out on the board for over 2 and 1/2 days..........."I decide to pick "Best Answer" and 5 minutes later get a "violation notice" for said question..........
WHAT ARE THE ODDS???.............

everything is breaking a rule..thats the first thing you need to understand...yahoo lays out these rules then you get violation notices and they wont tell you why for legal reasons....so get it ..

because they click report and yahoo unfortunately just deletes anything that some one reports without verifying that it actually violated anything...hopefully one day they will change this because it really sucks.

Trolls have more power than the average user, which is why they're so freaking hard to eliminate.
