This has just happened to me in a major way, just in the past couple weeks. I have tried to put some distance between myself and the other people involved (very close family members), but I am also trying to forgive them for the lies... It's hard, but they are people I truly must have in my life, and sometimes it's necessary to forgive.

I guess I would stop trusting. Why are they lying. Is it self defense, stupidity, insanity, greed or combination of each. Or were they trying to spare your feelings, I guess that would be self defense.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Start investigating or give up the relationship. They don't make life easy do they.

Well it depends on what you want to accomplish. Total embarassment to "seriously, dude, Im gonna kick your rear end ", to just simply not trusting them and I think you have to let them know eventually that you cannot trust them especially if they hurt you. SOme people care, others do not.

i would feel betrayed, shocked, sad. I wouldnt look at that them in the same light for awhile but eventually i would try to trust them if i loved them. I would never be completely sure but i would try to get along.

I'd probably begin to distance myself from that person a bit and definitely be more hesitant in my interactions with them.

become skeptical and doubtful of them, never rely on them, and sort of avoid them without making anything of the above noticable as to not change the status of the relationship.

First off, not trust them anymore!!! Secondly, it would depend on what they lied about, as well as my relationship to them, for me to say what action I would take.
