the UK has faced wars, invasion, natural disastors, riots. and countless unseen dangers.

we have come through them all, sometimes it was a very hard road and sometimes it was just tough. we did this with pride determination, and the will of the people.

now i think we have finally met that thing that we can not survive. we have our selves to blame. the population of the UK is in a state of apathy and fear. no one will stand up and speak what they think, just in case someone is offended, no one will defend them selves in fear of being sued, no one will defend the principals of the nation for fear of offending a Muslim.

most people are so preoccupied with them selves they have forgotten what the duty of a citizen is, the nation has elected to stand by while stealth tax destroys your ability to have a good quality of life.

people just sit back and complain about the EU and now most will sit back as Emperor Gordon Brownaparte Gives the UK up to foreign leadership. = Death nell

i am for independence, but while we are still joined to england we must still fight for the whole.

i was simply pointing out a question to all and sundry

you should have more courage fellow scot. we can do this on our own, we don't need a baby sitter who abuses us.

i don't think Alex Salmond is the perfect leader either, he is a good place to start but i do like and want independence and im not afraid of the hard work it will mean.

comonsense dictates protecting the whole untill we are free

I totally agree with you. That is why I am joining the thousands of Brits who are getting out of this nanny state that the UK has become!!

No what I object to is big business ruining our lives. Look at the debacle over Donald Trump wanting build a golf course complex in Aberdeenshire and look what has happened to the Councillor who objected by means of a democratic vote.

He has subsequently been voted out and has lost his jpb despite 29 abstentions from voting. No the UK is being destroyed by the greed for wealth.

We have lost freedom of speech and we have just sat back and let it happen.

Yes your totally right, so why do you want Scottish Independence, all the people of the UK and Europe need to stand together against the Islamic Invasion. We need to start with opposing the inclusion of Turkey into the EU, but Chairman Brown is hell bent on letting it happen.

I havent got a clue what your talking about mate! The uk isnt in empathy and fear the uk governments are in empathy and fear not the people.

My life is fine and life in the uk is no different from what it used to be.Whatever the government does it does not effect me in a big way my life is still the same. However if a another nation try to attack our land i would b the first to sign up to the army to protect it.

No, there is no danger.

The reason I say this, is because the treaty/constiution has been signed. So, the UK is either now in the hands of Brussels, or it is not. Danger is when there is a possibility of something happening, and the event you are referring to has happened.

I do think that we need a referendum though. Not one limited to the treaty/constitution, but one on being part of the EU.

Have you even bothered to read the Treaty for yourself, then you can ask why did the British government opt out of some very good points to it. I posted a link to the site to download the full text of the treaty on another question saying is the lisbon treaty a white elephant and I am going to ask why did we opt out of the good points.

You've made a very good point there. You may be interested in a website which enables you to write to your MP. I've used it myself once and got a reply so I've posted the link below. (It used to be called www.faxyourmp.com.) All the best for Christmas and 2008.

I'm not sure i understand your argument here. i take it your anti EU. as am i. and Scottish like me. you talk about the UK but seem to want Independence from London rule. if we get that wouldn't we be ruled by Brussels or are you kidding yourself Scotland would just go it alone completely. explain to me how that would be Independence. what currency would we use. would we need passports to go to England.wales and Ireland. i hear the Alec salmon backers but like him they have never dealt with the reality of Independence, he is using it for his own means like some modern day brave-heart. i wouldn't put my trust in that blowhard if i was you. he is in it only for himself.

I think the summer of 1940 was by far Britains most perilous time, with Europe under Nazi control, our WHITE american cousins were laughing all the way to the bank.

Who did we rely on? Muslims, Hindu's, Sikh's, Africans, Canadians, Arabs, to keep the empire going and keep us supplied to fight another day.

The backlash will come, and when it does the members of the current government will be the 'first against the wall'.

Forget radicalised muslims - this government are doing their absolute best to radicalise the English.
