I think of myself as heighth challenged. I'm 5'4" tall, but wear heels alot. A few years ago I lost weight, then added some (>20 lbs) back on: my solution, you ask? Wear heels - I figure my weight is perfect with 4" heels. ;)
We have 9' ceilings in our kitchen (I measured this morning), and a storage shelf just a foot or so down from the ceiling. I have to ask for help or get out a step ladder to get infrequently used things like cookie sheets down from there.
Hmmm - 4" heels and cookie sheets? Related?!? I'll bet you wouldn't have thought so before this morning, would you?

I am 5ft 6in - I hate getting up in the attic! It's cold up there and full of Eejits!
Try wearing 6 inch stillettos and stand on a stool! Careful now, don't topple over!

5 feet, and 6 inches tall. Appears to be quite comfortable to me. My mother is little as you are, but cute as a smiling little apple, when she's not a Fire breathing Dragon, which she is,
for most!!!
