I need to fabricate a dashboard piece and the perfect material would be that board that is in the bottom of one of my dressers. It is a wood-like material that is somewhat corrugated. It is rigid and about .125 (1/8 inch) thick.

Dresser drawer bottoms are normally made of thin veneer plywood, or press board. You can purchase either at the nearest home building center.

I solved this problem by screwing batons round the draw bottom, inside the drawer, and then screwing the baton to the drawer sides. If th batons are not too small (1 inch by 1inch) and you pre-drill the holes, it avoids the batons splitting.

Generally, it is panelling like you would buy in a lumber yard. Sometimes, it is a thing called 'beaverboard', which is pegboard without the holes(smooth on one side, and 'fuzzy' on the other). Other possibilities include 'pressed' wood, which is paneling without the wood veneer, and sometimes very thinly planed real wood.

1/8th in and strong enough for a drawer bottom sounds like masonite or hardboard...
