About 20 years ago I saw only part of this movie I would like to see it all but I cant find it because I dont know the name It was about a family the mother died then the father died and the kids hid the fact that the father had died because they didnt want to go to a home so they burried thire father beside the mother I think the name had something a bout a fern in it.

Actually the movie "Where the Red Fern Grows" is about a boy and his hunting dogs. The movie that you are looking for is call "Where the LIllies Bloom" It starred Jan Smither from "WKRP in Cinncinatti" and Harry Dean Stanton. You can find out more information about it at imdb.com. Maybe Where the Red Fern Grows? There were puppies that died in that, tho'; but this is the only movie that I can remember from 20 years ago that has ferns in it.

It could be "The Cement Garden"....
After the death of her husband, the mother of Julie, Jack, Sue and Tom begins to suffer from a mysterious illness. Aware that she is going to have to go into hospital she opens a bank account for the children, so that they can be financially self-sufficient and will be able to avoid being taken into care by the authorities. Unfortunately she also dies and Julie and Jack (the older, teenage children) decide to hide her body in the basement so that they can have free reign of their household

I agree with the others that answered, it sounds like Where the Red Fern Grows. I remember my teacher reading to us from that book when I was younger, but I don't remember much about the story itself.
