He did lie, under oath, and will probably serve time for perjury.

Who here has not lied at one point in their lives? What makes Barry's indecision a lie? Since he is accused of lying to a grand jury, that makes the case for steroids against Barry extremely weak, so the US Govt. is pursuing another avenue in order to try busting him for something.
Due to all of the attempts to try positively testing Barry for drugs, which failed because he was clean, the libel and slander against him now should make for a tidy sum, if he should sue the US Govt. for defaming his character.

I am no Barry Bonds supporter and don't even like baseball, but he is only accused of lying before a Federal grand jury.
