Only one person mentioned KY by name (KY Jelly), that is water based, and perfectly safe, thats the one they use in hospital when they do your internal examinations.

Yes It's Ok to ask that question on here. I think if your mucus plug is gone, you need to ask your MD. I only say that from experience. When I had my fourth child, I lost my plug to, only it was at 8 months. I didn't think anything of it because after all, it was my fourth and I still had sex with my husband. Then I got a terrible infection because i started leaking amniotic fluid. The doctor ended up putting me in the hospital and he forced delivered my baby at 8 months. Well that infection turned out to be life threatening. I was in the hospital for 2 months. I came close to dying. Now, I'm not saying that will happen to you, no, not at all. I just want you to know of rare possibilities and I believe my case is rare in that respect. Many women still have sex and nothing happens, but just to be sure, as you doctor OK. I pray you have a wonderful, healthy happy baby. Is this your first? God bless you Honey. Be safe.

Yes they are absolutely safe. Don't use spermacide though. Well for one you dont need to, and two it can be dangerous. Just used the water based ones.

This may sound kind of crazy, but trust me, it works!
Use olive oil. It's natural and good for your skin, and it really lubes you up. My husband's parents told us about it and we tried it out. I used it before I got pregnant and I use it now. It's great! And cheaper too.
