Are you asking about people in Scotland? Or in the UK?

I'm in Wales. I have a Mobile Phone (Cell Phone) - I bought it second hand for £25 ($50) and its a "Pay As You Go" package rather than a Contract (ie I don't get bills, I have to prepay for the calls I make so I don't use it often as its VERY expensive, I just keep it handy so that people can call/text me when I'm out and about).

I don't have HD, PLasma or Widescreen TV. My partner is on a low wage (as are a lot of people in Wales) and I'm at home looking after our baby son. We'd need two good wages coming in to afford things like HD TV etc - we don't really need it. Its just a pointless luxury.

Oh and I think it would be great if you had a woman in the White House. Hillary Clinton is an impressive lady and her plans to give every American the right to Health Care are excellent.

Does that help?

Well I live in Scotland and was wondering about these phone things. Even if you bought a wire long enough wouldn't they all get tangled up? I hear that some people are moving from peat-fired steam phones to these ones with a little spirit burner.

I suppose HD stands for "Heavy Duty". A lot of people have them to survive the impact from family rows and throwing bottles at the screen when Tony Blair comes on.

We have never had cell phones, we always use mobile phones. We all have at least wide screen TV's, some plasma and some digital. HD is just becoming popular. No one here liked Tony Blair, probably because he was always far too friendly with Bush. In this country Blair was nothing but a puppet. Women in the whitehouse? Well from a country that voted Bush back in I suppose anything is possible.

Both my husband and I have mobile phones, but we don't have HD, widescreen or Plasma TV. All our children are adults and they are the same. In fact I don't know anyone that has an HD TV.
As for a woman in the white house.... can't be any worse than her male counterparts.

Really a vast majority of the USA has cell phones
Kids really seem to text message alot - but not all the time
high def is definately up and coming but alot can not afford it
Hilary Clinton is not my ideal candidate but this year (again) there really isn't a good candidate

There is a comedy character on British television called Vicky Pollard and unwittingly you have just done a brilliant "Vicky Pollard"

er... Cell/mobile phone ownership is at near saturation in the UK. HD television is still in a relatively early growth stage.
