I live in springfield, IL. My boyfriend is a HUGE Chicago White Sox fan. Well I found tickets to opening day and thought it would be a good xmas present. Well, im dumb... When I got the tickets in the mail, they were opening day tickets...but for the OTHER team. I didnt read the description all the way... Its the Cleveland Indians opening day. I didnt know if he would hate the tickets...lol... what do you think? Should I sell em and try to get the ones for the white sox's opener? Would there be a whole lot of white sox fans there? Any info would be great! Thank you

If you can afford the time, I'd suggest going to the game in Cleveland. It's a beautiful park, a great atmosphere, and it would be a good experience to see your favorite team open on the road.
Doesn't make you dumb, though. We've all done stuff like that where we're so focused on getting something done that we miss a pretty relevant detail.

Cleveland isnt that far away. But as a White Sox fan I would love to see a game at US Cellular Field but in this case it would still be a great game to go to. I would appreciate the thought and effort you took in this. If he is pissed you really need to step back and wonder if you can live with him. Its a sporting event he will love it. I go to KC all the time to watch the White Sox play the Royals (i live in omaha) so I really dont care where they are playing all I care about is that I get to watch my team. Great Gift. He SHOULD appreciate it.

Make a road trip out of it....Cleveland is probably 7 hrs fom Capital City.
There will be White Sox fans there.

us fans would love to take a trip to cleveland to see the white sox play but if your boyfriend doesn't like to do this i would sell those tickets on ebay make some extra cash for yourself and get your man opening day tickets for the whitesox

Opening day - and a road trip - do it! He will love it. Just don't let him know you did not know it was in Cleveland. Have fun with it. Tell him you could go to Chicago any time for a home opener - but for him you did opening day on the road!

First of all I hate the White Sox more than the Yankees. But if he is a fan he would defenitely love taking a trip to a division rival. It would be fun. Now you just got to get a hotel and take a nice road trip.

keep em and take a vacation to goto jacobs field even though it would probubly be more exciting to go to us cellular field with the white sox atmosphere. in other words... if u can get em for opening day in chicago take em... there ain't a bad seat in the cell!

Well if they were playing the white sox i would do it but i am a Cleveland Indian fan so idk
