Depends on your state. Some states have a lower "training wage" for someone starting out, often for minors. It's usually just for a fairly short period of time though, then goes back to the regular minimum.

Check your state website - it should have minimum wage info.

From the US Department of Labor: Must young workers be paid the minimum wage?

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires payment of at least the federal minimum wage to covered, nonexempt employees. However, a special minimum wage of $4.25 per hour applies to employees under the age of 20 during their first 90 consecutive calendar days of employment with an employer. After 90 days, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to pay the full federal minimum wage.

BUT -- your state may have a higher level of pay for those who are 15 -- check out your state's Department of Labor website for that information.

I think it depends whether or not there is one minimum wage for students and one for over 18. When I was working at 16 and 17, the rate was lower than an "adult". Ask your boss what the pay rate will be.
