That is just about one of the most classless things I've read on this website. Joe Pa is a great guy and a great coach, but I'm sure there are things he's done for his players and his team that the media never got a hold of. Every college coach is guilty of doing something along those lines.
You shouldn't discredit Bobby Bowden because of the actions of his players. What his players do off the field in no way affects his ability to coach or his accomplishments on the field. Bowden is a college football legend, and a very down to earth guy, at least most people can give him the respect he deserves.

solid thought maximum possibly yet, the anger has produced slightly a knee jerk reaction. There was once one checklist. maximum possibly if the checklist is precise Paterno's judgment grew to become right into a universal failing. To grant stability there have been many super issues he did by using fact the best teach for 61 years. i think that factor will soften the anger and vitriol that surrounds this unhappy party. taking away the statue from the doorway to the stadium will do away with the consistent reminder each and every Saturday in fall of his failure to take a greater lively place(if the checklist is precise). The library on campus that he financed nonetheless will bare his p.c. out. possibly the Statute could desire to be placed interior the library?

Brag about his accomplishments or compare himself to someone like Bowden like you are doing. Paterno has more class than this question, you don't need to defend him.
I actually met JoPa twice in my 10 years in State College. Once was during a bowling event the team had at the local bowling alley in State College. I was working at the bowling alley and he told me stories of his employment in a bowling alley in Brooklyn some 60 years ago. "I got paid a nickel a line", he told me. That means a nickel a game, FYI. A few years later, I ran into him on the local golf course. He ran into me would be more accurate, he would just walk the course for excercise. He got to see me shank a shot into the woods and he actually started busting my balls and the kicker was he actually remembered me from the bowling alley. As I said before, you don't need to defend JoPa.

I like your list.
The only thing I'll add is "retire". I think Joe will die while on the sideline coaching the Lions.

your list is a pretty good one.
But you'd be totally off if you were trying to say Bowden is less classy than JoePa
AHHH gotcha.......you'd be 100% right if you were saying that.
which you are....
I don't see how anybody could really argue against you either...
